The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (or "Vincentians") are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need.  They minister to the needy within our parish boundaries with emergency assistance by way of food and clothing thanks to the generous donations of our parishioners.

New members are welcome.  Please contact 416-261-7498 (extension 4) for more information.

What We Do

  • House visits - Volunteers (in pairs) make visits to the homes of our neighbours in need.
  • Bundle Up weekends - Members collect gently-used clothing and other donations through our Bundle Up weekends in the Spring and Fall.
  • Poor Box - Members help collect financial donations through the Poor Box after Mass.
  • Monthly meetings - Our members get together once a month to plan upcoming initiatives.

Helping Our Community During COVID-19

During this pandemic, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has not stopped ministering to the needy in our local community. Although churches - which is the Society's primary way of receiving donations (e.g. Bundle Up weekends) - have been closed throughout much of 2020, the Society's St. Theresa's conference continues to collect charitable donations, which are then distributed as food and clothing vouchers to those in need in our community.

You can be a part of this life-changing mission. Make a donation to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, St. Theresa's Conference.
