The Lord is Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia!
We are celebrating the greatest Feast of Christianity, The Resurrection of our Lord. In the words of St. Paul, “And if Christ did not rise from the dead, our preaching is useless, and so is your faith” (1 Corinthians 15:14).
We are Easter people. Our Faith is rooted on the Truth that Jesus is no longer in the dark tomb of death but is alive and is the Light of the world. We are confident therefore, that when we pray, our prayers don’t fall on deaf ears or dead silence. They are heard by a living, powerful God who is victorious over sin and death. We are children of the Light by virtue of our baptism. As we renew our baptismal promises in the Easter Masses we participate, we re-commit ourselves to promote a culture of life, a culture of love and inclusivity and a Life in the Spirit.
I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to all our Church ministries who help us hold meaningful, safe and joyful liturgical celebrations. Special thanks to our front-liners, the Ministry of Ushers, who come very early and leave late to make sure that we are all safe and our worship space is clean and sanitized. I salute them. Thank you for risking yourselves to open our doors and patiently welcome our parishioners.
My heartfelt gratitude to Deacon Peter Lovrick, Jem Rosario from our Digital Media Ministry, our Parish Staff, the Volunteers’ Screening Committee chaired by Colleen Rumball, Choirs, Lectors, Altar Guild, Decorators, Sacristan, Caretakers, Knights of Columbus, all volunteers. May the Spirit of our Risen Lord permeate you with strength, peace, joy and profound faith in His all embracing Love. I am very happy and proud of you and your wonderful work.
Happy Easter everyone!!!
